Wisconsin Good Government Award Nomination Information
Wisconsin Good Government Award winners represent the best in cooperation, collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking.
Why enter the program? Completing an entry form in itself is a valuable effort. While not burdensome, the entry process requires nominators to thoroughly assess previous conditions, describe improvements that were proposed and effectively implemented and explain the benefits of the new approach. This activity can provide a valuable reminder of the challenges faced, and how those challenges were successfully overcome.
Communities that win Good Government Awards typically receive positive local media coverage. Award winners may also use the Good Government Award logo to promote their community in external marketing campaigns, web sites, presentations and other publicity.
The Wisconsin Good Government Award is also a valuable recognition tool to show appreciation for elected officials and employees who demonstrate innovation and creativity. The award is presented at the general assembly sessions of the Wisconsin Counties Association, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and the Wisconsin Towns Association in September and October.
